The ham and cheese sandwich is amazing. So are their Coney dogs. Actually, I love it all!

The food was good, but staff was not pleasant. Messed up several items of my order. I asked for 2 sauces, they gave me one. Told me that it was all in the one. It wasn't for one person, with the corona virus they should know better. Very rude when I asked for second sauce.

I love this place. It is a staple of Bay City. I have been going here since I was a kid. Their coney dogs are awesome! The fish and chicken are good as well. The burgers and steak sandwiches are ok. The rice pudding is top notch. The only real downfall here is that only accept cash as payment.

Got there just before closing but everything was very good, made hot and fresh as usual. We love their steak and cheese sandwiches with mushrooms and onions, and the orders of onion rings are huge, not just 5 or 6 rings like some other places. Service is always quick too.

We've been coming to Mr. Hot Dog every since they've been in business. The Coney Dogs are delicious. The Fish Dinners are some of the best in the Thumb Area. The Thick Shakes are delicious. The food was awesome as always, but the interior temperature was 92 degrees! An employee (dripping in sweat) said it was even hotter inside yesterday at 99 degrees. Their AC is being rebuilt, so no end in sight. I really feel sorry for the 6 employees!

The owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Will never order from here again.

Only had two gals working. A cheeseburger was forgotten, and then she waited on two other people after I informed her it wasn't in the bag.

I like Mr. Hot dog. A Bay City institution. Nothing fancy. Very basic and limited menu but it's fine with me. No computers or point of sale registers, just an order pad and pencil. Great weekly specials. If you want something fancy, you better go somewhere else. I have no problem with the food or employees.

The Coney dog was average... The fish was awesome. Friendly staff

Great to see this place still open. Hot dogs not what I remember as a young girl. Didn't use koegels! Old Town Drive inn in Saginaw is much better!

Didn't care for it at all. Hot dogs were only warm not hot and buns tasted cold and. Hot dogs didn't taste like Koegel's I buy from Jack market or Krogers. Won't go back.

Eat here almost every day for lunch. I've never been disappointed. I've aten almost everything on the menu and I couldn't specifically tell you my favorite.

My mom order a steak Sandwich with light sauce. One of the owners told her to scrap the extra sauce off. They then microwaved them so long it burned my moms lip. Horrible service.

This is the best TRUTH. Me and my brother wife came in today. Hair in onion rings. AND. a hamburger. YOU NEED HAIR BE NETS. THAT WAS SICKNING.

I went here for the first time today for lunch and the food was incredible! I ordered some hot dogs and onion rings and my order came out quickly! The food was hot and fresh and the staff were so nice! I will definitely come back here again in the future! The only thing that people need to be aware of is that Mr. Hot Dog only accepts cash so that is something to keep in mind before you go there! 😀👍❤️❤️❤️❤️

This place was a family favorite when I was a kid (59 yo now). Chicken, Fish or Shrimp Snak Paks or full dinners, burgers, steak sandwiches, and the beloved coney dog!Sadly, after nearly 50 years of eating at Mr. Hot Dog, I won't be back.Last week (June 2020) I walked to the door wearing my mask due to Covid-19. A handwritten sign on the door read, "Wear a mask. Big Gretch is watching!"For those reading this in the future, Gretchen Whitmer is Michigan's governor who is leading the fight against Covid-19. The owner/manager of this place doesn't care about other's health concerns, only his cash register.BTW -- this is a greasy spoon diner. I guess that's part of the charm.

Food was good. Service must have been new as she took forever and the other counter person took over. Then it smelled like they cleaned the whole place with piss water. Not very professional and don't usually have these problems.

I've always loved this restaurant, been eating here ever since I was a kid and it was located right off of Bay City highway. Great food, good customer service. It's just entirely to hot in this place during the summer months. I feel bad for the employees

Ordered food last Tuesday, 1/14/20. Ordered 99cent conys. Ate nothing except their food all day. And cant stop puking and going to the bathroom for 2 days now. Thanks alot. Time temp logs should be implemented. Just to be safe. Not saying it was their fault. But danm man. Wont go back their now.

Last store in an old school chain in Bay City.classic Coney dogs, rings and giant shakes are a staple here. Fish and shrimp dinners are good value for price.(great during Lent. ) Interior is kind of dingy and dated, but I don't eat here for the ambiance. Open kitchen gives an interesting show once and a while. Nice treat to come here once and a while.

It's a local legend ..... The food never changes ... Inexpensive comfort food. Love every thing there....

The fish fry is definitely good. More fish than batter. Remember cash only. Well worth dining in I f your tired of the usual fast food.

I love this place, probably mostly because of my childhood memories. But the food is good for FAST FOOD and the pricing is very fair. Again this is fast food so don't expect gourmet, but all in all it is pretty good.

If you have never been there you need to go. Cash only though. You will enjoy the food
